AI, Productivity and Accessibility in 2024

A look at 2023 and where we are taking tech this year.

By Amy Ouzoonian

As health and tech in 2024 are gallavanting hand in hand, I have quickly realized that the world of tech will never be a sprint. With each advancement, we are only clearing another milestone in preparation for the next achievement. Artificial Intelligence (AI) has not just evolved; it has revolutionized how we approach productivity and accessibility. About three years ago I was too afraid to take a stab at programming and security/compliance and now I'm working with my own mentors and developing my own software solutions. Through a lot of my own life challenges (being diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder and my daughter being diagnosed with Autism), I have always sought out solutions. So, I'm excited to started unfolding our plans for 2024, which are filled with solutions that focus on accessibility, productivity and profitability for individuals and businesses. I'm planning on targeting accessibility for neurodivergent individuals especially, since it's been something that is so important to so many individuals who identify as neurodivergent.

Reflecting on 2023: A Year of AI Breakthroughs

The year 2023 was pivotal in the AI landscape. We witnessed AI becoming more intuitive , responsive, and, importantly, accessible to a broader audience (ChatGPT, DALL-E, Claude, HumaneAI). The emergence of sophisticated language models transformed the way we interact with technology, making it more conversational and personalized. This advancement was not just a technical feat but a gateway to making technology more inclusive and accessible.

AI in 2024: Enhancing Productivity

Now, in 2024, AI is not a mere tool; it's a companion that augments our capabilities. I am excited to take things one step further into productivity and profitability. That's why this year I'm excited to be working with a team this year on building productivity tool that are meant to simplify multi-tasking and make your home and business organizing a snap.

A Leap in Accessibility

Perhaps the most heartening advancement is in the field of accessibility. AI-powered tools have broken barriers, providing solutions for those with different abilities. Voice-to-text advancements, real-time language translation, and AI-driven assistive devices have opened up new avenues for communication and interaction, making technology truly inclusive.

The Road Ahead

As we look towards the future, the intersection of AI with emerging technologies like quantum computing and the Internet of Things (IoT) promises to further transform our world. The focus is not just on making technology smarter but also more empathetic and aligned with human needs.

In the AI-driven era, there is no limit, that's why it's crucial to ensure that these advancements remain grounded in ethics and inclusivity. The more who are along and the sooner more are on board with advancements, the better. The future of technology is not just about smarter machines, but about creating a world where technology is accessible and beneficial to all. Which is why I am looking towards AR/VR technology in our future builds and particularly building for Apple Vision Pro apps.

While AI, productivity, and accessibility are the buzz words for 2024, Culture is still everything for MoodConnect and the direction that we're moving into (more on that coming soon!), so I hope that you'll be joining us for our upcoming webinar on Culture Analytics.
